Due Diligence

When a financing institution or project developer are seeking assurances that a project is financeable, a due diligence investigation provides the necessary pieces of information.

Due diligence examines the creditworthiness of various project participants (e.g., contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers); availability of third-party rights based on the type of project and its location (e.g., lien rights);

When the right questions are asked, and the relevant information is compiled, the investor can utilize the data in negotiations and to determine how best to protect the investor’s interest in the project.
